LMF 2022 DJ CONTEST – Win mainstage opening set and electronic music production scholarship!
Are you an aspiring DJ, and you like electronic music?
Would You like to perform on a stage that has hosted names like Marco Carola, Luciano, Claptone and many other great names? Here is a lifetime opportunity for you!
LMF Festival, Playbox and UNITED POP are giving you a unique opportunity to perform on Zagreb’s biggest outdoor electronic festival alongside the world’s most renowned DJ’s as well as a scholarship for a bachelors degree in Electronic Music Production at UNITED POP – Academy of Music, Media and Arts worth 15.000€.
THE CONTEST
PHASE 1
March 22 – April 22, 2022
Upload your mix to your Mixcloud and engage your social skills to get as much social engagement on your mix as you can (Likes, Listens, Comments). In Phase 1, we value social engagement (30%) and quality (70%) and we pick 20 mixes for semifinals – Phase 2.
PHASE 2
April 23 – May 1, 2022
Out of the 20 selected, our judges will listen, discuss and pick the 3 finalists based on their mixing skills, music selection and creativity. Finalists will be contacted directly and announced on our social media.
PHASE 3
June 3 – June 5, 2022
Finalists perform on LMF Mainstage! Each finalist gets to open the mainstage one day of the festival. Our judges will be there and listening! Get your game on because after the festival, the best of the three finalists will become a student in Electronic Music Production at UNITED POP Academy!
HOW TO ENTER?
01. RECORD & UPLOAD
Record and upload a 60 minute mix on your Mixcloud, set the following image as mix artwork/cover USE THIS ARTWORK COVER
02. NAME & TAG
Name your mix “DJ Name – LMF 2022 Contest”. Add a secondary tag “LMF2022“ so we can find and repost your mix (very important!)
03. GOOD LUCK

RULES
There will be twenty (20) semifinalists and three (3) finalists
For Phase 2, we will select 20 semifinalists from Phase 1 based on the aggregated number of engagements (30%) and mix quality (70%)
Agregated engagements includes likes, comments and listenings on your applied DJ mix
Each finalist will be awarded a mainstage opening slot on one day of the festival
Contest is open to all participants from Europe
One (1) entry per participant
We are evaluating mixing skills, music selection and creativity
Submissions are expected to adapt to a mainstage warmup/opening style DJ set
Music styles/genres should be compatible to the festival lineup
Uploaded mixes should: be no longer than 60 min, contain a tracklist, have a short info/bio about the artist submitting the mix
When submitting a mix, be sure to include “LMF2022” tag so we can find it and listen (very important!)
All finalists will have all expenses paid (accomodation + flight tickets) for the duration of the festival and two full festival tickets for you and a friend
Winner will receive full scholarship for “Electronic Music Production” Bachelors degree at UNITED POP – Academy of Music, Media and Arts
Winner will be announced and contacted in the week after the festival
